Eddie, Hayden (Weirton, WV):

Hayden continued to be a consistent force for the Blue and Gold last week.  He opened the week by leading the Golden Bears with 20 points, 11 rebounds and tied his season high with 3 blocks in an 89-81 home loss to Souther Virginia. Eddie and Tech bounced back two days later against UVA-Wise.  He again led Tech with a 22 point, 17 rebound and 2 block performance in a 107-71 home win.  The 14 defensive rebounds and 17 total rebounds marked new season high performances for Hayden.  He also tied his season high for three point field goals made in a game (2) in the victory before closing out the week with a 76-68 victory over defending NAIA Champions, the University of Pikeville.  Eddie added 8 points and pulled in 5 rebounds in the 78-68 home win

Currently, the Weirton, WV native leads Tech in point per game average with 16.41 points per game and holds a 56% field goal percentage so far this season.  His offensive execution has earned him the 19th best field goal percentage in NAIA DI.  Hayden also leads the Golden Bears in rebounds per game average with 8.53 and has pulled in 145 boards in Tech’s 17 games this season.  A force on the glass, Hayden currently ranks in the top 25 in NAIA DI in three separate rebounding columns (10th in defensive rebounds per game, 19th in total rebounds, and 25th in total rebounds per game).  Eddie is also leading the team with 15 blocks on the year.
