Sophomore pitcher/first baseman Ashley Boggs has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for April 2-9.

Boggs has stepped up this season seeing time in the circle and playing in the field as needed. She holds a batting average of .257 for the Golden Bears, marking nine hits, five RBI and five runs scored.

On April 2, against the University of Charleston, Boggs struckout three Golden Eagles while walking one in 4.1 innings of work.

The sophomore hails from Milton, W. Va. and is pursuing a degree in healthcare administration.
