Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 22-28, 2021 were announced Saturday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshmen Tyler Wilkinson (baseball) and Joshua Staines (esports) highlight that week's honors.

As captain, Staines helped the WVU Tech esports' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) squad take down Shawnee State University 16-12 during the NACE 2021 National Championship.

The team consists “Naru” Staines, Dawson “dawceno” Tharp, Anthony “biggE” Lopez-McDonald, Phoenix “Acid” Lafferty and Joe “jomir” Schmitt.
