Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for December 13, 2021 - January 2, 2022 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Juniors Brianna Ball (women's basketball) and Ashton Parker (men's basketball) highlight this week's honors.

Ball, who hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, recorded two double-doubles over two games towards a total of 28 points and 28 rebounds. The junior also posted four blocks in Tech's win over Siena Heights University.

A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Parker led under the boards over two games for the Golden Bears, pulling down a total of 15 rebounds to go with 21 points. He also marked a team-best five blocks.
