Junior Dirk Ponchak has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer for January 6-13.

Ponchak helped lead the Golden Bears to a first place finish at the Washington and Lee Invitational Saturday with a 3-0 tournament record.

The champion of the 165 weight class contributed to Tech's 114 team points with his undefeated day.

The McConnelsville, Ohio native studies mechanical engineering at WVU Tech.
