Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Oct. 30 - Nov. 5, 2023 were announced Friday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Jackson Evans (wrestling) and junior Frickroll Trenton Smith (esports) highlight the week's honors.

Jackson (Beckley, W.Va.) went 4-0 at 184 lbs. to take home first place during the Patriot Open. Evans scored two falls (5:35, 1:14), including in the first place match, a major decision (13-5) and a decision (15-8).

Frickroll (Sissonville, W.Va.) helped lead the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate squad to a 2-0 victory over Alfred State University. The junior took a total of 12 stocks while losing only four of his own.
