Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for January 13-19, 2025 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Ryan Turney (wrestling) and freshman Abigail Holley (indoor track & field) highlight the week's honors.

Holley, a native of Clay County, W.Va., made her collegiate track & field debut in the shot put, garnering the program's indoor record with a throw of 5.90 meters.

Turney, who hails from Churchville, Md., was undefeated (4-0) in the Builder Invitational at 174 lbs. The senior finished first and earned two falls on the day.
