WVU Tech Athletics has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Aug. 15-31, recognizing senior Ramon Ferrari of men's soccer and sophomore Aniston Treadway of volleyball for standout performances during the opening stretch of the 2026-27 season.

Ferrari anchored the Golden Bears through an unbeaten opening stretch, playing all 180 minutes in goal as WVU Tech earned draws against No. 4 Cumberlands and (RV) Milligan. The senior allowed just one goal while making 11 saves, posting a 0.50 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.

After helping Tech earn a 1-1 draw against nationally ranked Cumberlands in the season opener, Ferrari recorded six saves in a 0-0 road draw at Milligan. The clean sheet marked WVU Tech's first shutout of the season and capped a two-match stretch in which the Golden Bears surrendered just one goal.

Ferrari is a senior goalkeeper majoring in business management.
