Junior Elizabeth Evans has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for December 2-8, 2015.

With the game tied and just a second remaining in regulation, Evans grabbed the board and released a shot at the buzzer that fell to give the team a 61-59 victory over the University of the Cumberlands Saturday afternoon.

The game-winner capped off a season-high game for Evans who scored 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field in addition to two rebounds and a steal.

The Williamson, West Virginia native also posted seven points and two assists against KIAC foe Indiana University East Tuesday.

The daughter of Michael and Tracy Evans is studying Biology at WVU Tech.
