Senior Tommy Weaver has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for March 2-9, 2016.

Weaver was a combined 3-for-4 in a doubleheader sweep of Ohio Christian. The highlight was going 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and six RBIs in a 21-0 victory in the nightcap. The first game was a 13-0 win.

Against Pikeville, the senior was 3-for-5 with four RBIs as Tech defeated the Bears 8-0 and 10-4.

For the year, Weaver is hitting .552 (16-for-29) with two home runs and 20 RBIs. He has also pitched 6.0 innings across four appearances, and opponents are hitting .227 off of him.

Tommy was also named KIAC Player of the Week this week and is currently enjoying three rankings in the nation (NAIA DI) — No. 4 for his batting average (.552), No. 17 in RBIs per game (1.429) and No. 20 for his slugging percentage (.862).
