Freshman Gjenine Galloway has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for April 27 - May 3, 2016.

WVU Tech women's track and field finished fifth at the KIAC Championship and it was highlighted by the second place finish of the women's 4x800 meter relay quartet of Galloway, junior Atiyyah Herron and freshmen Katie Ervin and Seirra Seay.

Galloway also had an individual runner-up finish in the 400 hurdles, a sixth place finish in the triple jump while running on the 4x400 relay which finished third.

The daughter of Grace Ekpo is majoring in criminal justice and psychology as a Golden Bear.
