Senior Michala Dean has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for September 15-22, 2016.

As libero, Dean has helped lead WVU Tech to a six-match winning streak. She combined for 76 digs in four matches last week. The Algoma, Wisconsin native also posted eight assists and four service aces.

Dean is currently ranked No. 50 in the nation (NAIA DI) with a total of 279 digs in 2016.

The daughter of Eric and Susan Dean is majoring in biology.
