Senior Paul Gonzales has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for January 3-9, 2017.

Gonzales finished 4-1 and took third place at 125 Saturday during the Jon Crytzer Invitational hosted by Washington & Lee.

The Snow Hill, Maryland native scored a fall against Greensboro College's Gabriel Wilson at 1:53 and a major decision, 11-2, during the third place match against St. Andrews' Brennan Patton.
