Freshman Lauren McCall has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for August 22-28, 2017.

For the first time since at least 2007, WVU Tech (3-0) volleyball has won three consecutive matches to kick off the season including a win over Bluefield College (0-1), 3-1.

McCall had a standout match, producing 13 kills, 11 digs, six service aces and a block solo. The freshman now has a total of 25 kills after three matches to go with 21 digs and eight service aces.
