Overton wrestled to first place at 165 lbs. during the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship February 17.

The Columbia, Maryland native punched his ticket to the NAIA National Championship after defeating fellow Golden Bear senior Corey Palmer in the first place bout with a 2-0 decision.
