Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for October 11-22, 2019

Ruiz, who hails from Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, touched first in both the 100 and 200 yard Freestyle in Tech's first meet of the season.

With his time of 1:47.59 in the 200, he punched his ticket to the NAIA National Championship.

Ruiz also helped lead the 200 yard Freestyle Relay team to the top spot in their event, finishing with a time of 1:30.37 which is good for the NAIA standard.
