Roche Wimberly recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and senior
Nia Nolan led the team with 17 points, but it wasn't quite enough as the WVU Tech women's basketball team dropped a contest Saturday to Point Park University, 87-82.
The Golden Bears had three players in double figures, including freshman
Brett Justice who produced 11 points, going 5-for-8 from the foul line. Justice also pulled down six rebounds and dished an assist. Wimberly added two steals and a block to her stat line while Nolan finished with a team-high six assists, three steals and three rebounds.
Junior
Cheyanna Lusk led the team with four steals, also marking five of each, rebounds and points.
For the game, Tech outrebounded their opponent 52-50, while Point Park held the advantage in points off turnovers (28-14) and second chance points (17-14).
Point Park was led by Sam Weir, who produced a game-high 26 points and had eight rebounds.
The Golden Bears will return home Tuesday when they host Bluefield College (Virginia) at 6:00 p.m.
