BECKLEY, West Virginia — The WVU Tech men's soccer team celebrated their seniors and defeated Brescia University 4-0 Thursday evening to stay perfect in 2015 and boost their record to 12-0, 4-0 (KIAC).
Tech picked up the victory due to goals by junior captain
Drew Lytton (16' and 53'), sophomore
Jose Segarra (23') and senior
Joaquin Rodriguez (51'). The assists were credited to senior
Ridge Ramsey, Rodriguez, junior
Prince Idornigie and senior
Felipe Sozinho.
Senior goalkeeper
Pol Bernaldo (6-0) was given the shutout after 63 minutes of play and one save for Tech. Junior
Hunter Moles also marked a save in the game.
The seniors celebrated include
Michael Powell,
Sebastian Cousin, Rodriguez,
Sam Laughton, Sozinho, Ramsey and Bernaldo.
The Gold and Blue return to the field October 17 to host Christendom College at the Paul Cline Memorial Complex in Beckley, West Virginia. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m.
