Tech Earns Eighth Shutout Victory in 2015

Men's Soccer

BECKLEY, West Virginia — The WVU Tech women's soccer team is currently ranked No. 15 in the NAIA for the most shutout victories in 2015, earning their eighth Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 win over Cincinnati Christian University for a KIAC match-up.

The Golden Bears boost their record to 11-3, 4-2 (KIAC) this season while the Eagles fall to 4-10, 2-3 (KIAC).

Tech picked up the victory due to the goals of senior Jessica Guzman (unassisted) in the 48th minute and sophomore Tristen Kilman (84'). Kilman found the back of the net off a header after receiving the perfect pass from junior captain Alyssa Capon.

Sophomore Martha Reyna (5-1) was given the shutout win after 90 minutes of play for the Golden Bears.

The Gold and Blue return to the field October 24 to face Georgetown College in Kentucky.
