ASBURY, Kentucky — WVU Tech women's soccer defeated KIAC foe Asbury University in the Game of the Week with a shut out 1-0 victory Thursday evening. The win boosts the Golden Bears' record to 8-2, 2-1 KIAC while the Eagles are now 5-4-1, 0-1 KIAC.

Freshman Caitlin Foster found the back of the net in the 79^th minute off the assist from senior Jessica Guzman to give the Golden Bears the advantage, 1-0 and the eventual victory.

After 90 minutes of play, Tech held advantage over the Eagles in shots (12-6) and the edge on corner kicks (3-2).

Sophomore goalkeeper Martha Reyna (2-1) recorded the win, stopping two balls.

WVU Tech will next face Ohio Christian University for another KIAC match-up Saturday in Circleville, Ohio.
