PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — The WVU Tech women's soccer team ended their historical run in 2015 at the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Tournament Saturday afternoon, falling in the final 1-0 to No. 2 Point Park University.
The Golden Bears, who entered the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed, finish the season with the most wins since at least 2007 and a record of 14-6, 5-4 (KIAC).
Both teams played hard in the first 45 minutes of play, keeping the score knotted 0-0 after a combined eight shots.
Point Park came on strong in the second half, producing seven shots and netting the winning goal off a penalty kick in the 78
th minute.

Tristen Kilman led the team with two shots (one on goal) while sophomore
Ruby Bingham and senior
Jessica Guzman posted a shot on goal each.
The team finished with four top-30 rankings in NAIA DI play including No. 5 in shots on goal per game (12.47), No. 16 in shots per game (20.21), No. 25 in total shutouts (9) and No. 27 in shutouts per game (.470). Tech scored 45 goals this season while holding their opponents to just 19.
The Golden Bears will now head into the offseason as they look to prepare for their 2016 campaign.
