MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - The WVU Tech women's basketball team defeated Ohio Christian University, another future Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) member, 82-52 Friday evening in the Baisi Athletic Center. The Golden Bears are now 12-14 while the Trailblazers fall to 11-12.
Senior
Nia Nolan led Tech in scoring again with a game-high 19 points, going 7-for-8 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the bonus. Nolan had four assists and rebounds and three steals.
Freshman
Rocio Ruiz-Berdejo finished with 18 points and a game-high 12 rebounds while junior
Cheyanne Lusk recorded 17 points and seven rebounds. Senior
Noelani Woodson dished five assists to go with her seven points.
Deshay Thomas posted 15 points to pace Ohio Christian.
The Golden Bears will face Berea College in Montgomery, West Virginia February 21, 2:00 p.m.
