MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tennessee — WVU Tech (1-1, 0-1) women's soccer played in their first Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) match-up against the University of Rio Grande (2-1, 1-0) Monday afternoon, falling in overtime, 3-2 and marking the second game in as many days that Tech has gone extra minutes to establish a winner. The team defeated Milligan College 2-1 Sunday afternoon in double overtime.
The Golden Bears found themselves down 2-0 with just a little more than six minutes left in the game before staging a comeback to send the contest into overtime. Freshman

Sophomore
Olivia Mantohbang, who also recorded her first collegiate score, found the back of the net off an entry pass from junior
Shelby Swiney in the 88
th minute, sending Tech and the RedStorm into OT. Rio finished the game in minute 98, posting a goal and making the score a final 3-2.
Freshman
Jessica Guzman led the team again with three shots (two on goal) while Enger and Mahtonbang had two shots on goal each.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Martha Reyna (1-1) recorded three saves for the complete game.
The Gold and Blue will host their first home game of the season, Ohio Valley University, in Beckley, West Virginia at the Paul Cline Memorial Complex Thursday, September 9. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
