BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's soccer saw five different goal scorers in their third shutout in 2016 after a 5-0 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Brescia University Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears move to 5-4-1, 1-0-1 (RSC) while the Bearcats hold a record of 0-11, 0-2 (RSC).
The goals were credited to junior
Ruby Bingham (7'), sophomore
Caitlin Foster (28'), senior
Alexandra Klein (70'), junior
Olivia Mantohbang (73') and freshman
Hailey Couchman (80') who made a penalty kick.
Junior
Tyler Graves and freshman
Miriam Cortez posted an assist each.
In goal, the win was awarded to junior
Martha Reyna (5-4-1) after 90 minutes of play.
The Gold and Blue held the advantage in shots on goal (21-0) and corner kicks (9-0).
Tech will next face Salem International University for a non-conference match-up when they travel to Salem, West Virginia October 6.
