Savannah Shamblin, the Eagles (19-9, 15-2) took an 88-62 victory over the Golden Bears (9-16, 4-10 KIAC).
Shamblin poured in 22 points, good for a game-best, while pulling down three rebounds and recording two steals and assists each. Senior
Courtney Fisher posted 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds while blocking one ball.
Freshman
Alexandra Combs finished the game with eight points while sophomore
Julie Conway had five points and seven rebounds.
The team finished 25-for-59 (42.4 percent) from the field while Asbury went 34-for-68 (50.0 percent). Tech committed 18 miscues while forcing their opponent to turn the ball over 12 times.
Savannah Taylor paced the Eagles with 15 points.
The Gold and Blue will continue conference play when they face Midway College Saturday, February 13 in Midway, Kentucky. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
