MONTGOMERY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's basketball's four-game winning streak was snapped Tuesday in a non-conference game against Shawnee State University. The Golden Bears (16-8) fell 82-65 to the Bears (23-2).
Junior
Zjhane West, along with Shawnee State's Madison Ridout, led all scorers with 16 points. West finished 6-for-10 from the foul line, grabbed five rebounds and had three assists in 25 minutes of play.
Sophomore
Savannah Shamblin, this week's USCAA Player of the Week, posted 12 points, a team-high five assists and three rebounds. Senior
Cheyanna Lusk had ten points, four rebounds and three assists.

Brooke Gee and sophomore
Brett Justice had eight points each while freshman
Laura Requena had six points and pulled down six boards.
Shawnee State's Jen Arnzen, Brandie Snow, Bailey Cummins and Lydia Poe had seven rebounds each to lead the game.
As a team, the Gold and Blue were held to 34.8 percent (24-for-69) shooting from the field while the Bears finished 44.3 percent (31-for-70) from the floor. SSU also held Tech to just a 1-for-16 (6.3 percent) effort from three-point range.
The Golden Bears will return to River States Conference (RSC) play on Saturday in the Baisi Athletic Center. Tipoff against the University of Rio Grande is scheduled for 1 p.m.
