CHARLOTTE, North Carolina -- WVU Tech women's basketball defeated Penn State Fayette, 101-53, before earning a win over Penn State Worthington Scranton during the J&W Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina last weekend.
The offense against PSU Worthington Scranton was led by freshman
Whittney Justice who poured in 22 points. Senior
Zjhane West was close behind with 21 points while freshman
Brittney Justice (17 points), junior
Alexandra Combs (13 points) and sophomore
Laura Requena (10 points) also hit double-digits.
Requena led the team under the boards, earning a double-double effort with a game-best 12 rebounds. West and freshman
Jessie Beck marked eight rebounds each.

Isabel Barrio dished out a game-high nine assists while West posted four.
As a team, Tech shot 50 percent (42-for-84) from the field while holding their opponent to just 29.1 percent (16-for-55) shooting from the floor.
The Golden Bears will next participate in the Walters Auto Classic hosted by University of Pikeville Friday and Saturday. Tech will face Campbellsville University on Friday and the host school, Pikeville, on Saturday.
