Women's basketball secure #RSC playoff spot on Senior Day

MONTGOMERY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's basketball celebrated seniors Brooke Gee, Keymonisha Dudley, Cheyanna Lusk and Amber Linville in front of friends and family in the Baisi Athletic Center where they secured a spot in the River States Conference (RSC) Tournament with a 89-62 victory over Point Park University.

The Golden Bears move to 19-11, 10-7 (RSC) this season while the Pioneers finish their season with a record of 18-12, 8-9 (RSC). Tech will travel on Wednesday, February 22 for a quarterfinal game in the RSC Tournament, opponent to be determined.

Sophomore Savannah Shamblin poured in five three-pointers towards a game-best 25 points and was one assist away from a double-double with nine.

Lusk finished with 12 points, a game-high eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Junior Zjhane West and freshman Logan Dudley recorded ten points each while West had seven boards and L. Dudley pulled down five.

Gee produced eight points and six rebounds while K. Dudley had a rebound and an assist in the win.

The team shot 50.0 percent (35-for-70) from the floor while holding the Pioneers to 36.7 percent (22-for-60) shooting. Tech also held the advantage in rebounds, 49-30.

Point Park's Devon Larkin led the team with 18 points and five rebounds.
