MONTREAT, North Carolina -- WVU Tech women's soccer suffered their first loss in 2018, 1-0, to Life University in Montreat, North Carolina Monday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-1 while the Running Eagles move to 2-2.
Tech outshot their opponent, marking 24 shots (four on frame) compared to Life's 11 (three on frame). The Running Eagles made one of their attempts count in minute 59 when Josie Davis scored the lone goal of the contest.

Freshman keeper
Jenna Miller (2-1) stopped two attempts while allowing one goal in the loss. Life's keeper, Julia Bernhardt, played for 45 minutes and made four stops.
The Golden Bears will look for another W when they travel to Virginia to face Bluefield College Wednesday, September 12.
