BRUNSWICK, Georgia -- (RV) WVU Tech women's basketball dropped a 78-68 decision in their season opener at College of Coastal Georgia.
Junior
Brittney Justice led all scorers with 24 points including a 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc. B. Justice finished 7-for-9, was a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line and had three rebounds.
Senior
Logan Dudley came off the bench to hit double-digits, marking 12 points for the Gold and Blue. Dudley pulled down six boards and recorded a steal.
Senior
Laura Requena finished with a double-double effort of 13 rebounds and ten points to go with three assists and a steal.
Junior
Isabel Barrio rounded out Tech's top scorers with nine points that included three three-pointers.
Coastal Georgia's top performer was Quira Porter who posted a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.
As a team, the Golden Bears finished 22-for-67 (32.8 percent) from the field while the Mariners were 31-for-64 (48.4 percent).
Tech will get right back on the court tomorrow, Saturday when they face Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia at 2 p.m.
