BECKLEY, West Virginia -- No. 4 WVU Tech women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 5 Point Park University in a River States Conference (RSC) Championship quarterfinal Saturday evening.
The Pioneers posted their first goal after halftime when Taylor Goldstrohm struck (49') before Tia Horew found the back of the net (55') to secure the victory.
Tech finished with nine shots on frame including three each from freshman
Sydney Krakat and sophomore
Brittany Dye and two from senior
Victoria Ellis.
The Gold and Blue's keeper, sophomore
Jenna Miller, made four saves in goal while Point Park's Ashtyn Webb was forced to stop nine Golden Bear attempts.
The Golden Bears end their 2019 campaign with an overall record of 6-6-3.
