WILMORE, Kentucky -- WVU Tech women's basketball saw seven Golden Bears hit double-digits as they defeated Asbury University 97-92 in an overtime River States Conference victory Thursday evening. The Gold and Blue boost their record to 4-4 while the Eagles move to 8-4.
Tech's leading scorer was credited to junior
Makayla Jones who hit a career-high 18 points. The Aurora, Colorado native also pulled down three boards.
The team also saw three double-doubles including 12 points and 12 rebounds from sophomore
Brianna Ball, 11 points and 11 boards from senior
Brittney Justice and fellow senior
Alexandria Gray ended with ten points and ten rebounds.
B. Justice also had four assists and four steals while Gray dished four assists and Ball blocked two attempts.
Freshman
Emilee Whitt finished 3-for-3 from beyond the arc towards 15 points to go with five rebounds.
Senior
Whittney Justice poured in 14 points and marked five assists and five rebounds.
Junior
ShanEttine Butler recorded 13 points, three rebounds and two assists.
