Golden Bears suffer loss at No. 5 Marian University

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- The Golden Bears were defeated by No. 5 Marian University 83-57 in a road contest Friday evening. WVU Tech now holds a record of 5-6 while the Knights move to 19-4.

Senior Brittney Justice was just one board away from a double-double with a team-best 18 points to go with nine rebounds.

Fellow classmate Whittney Justice finished with 16 points and three of each -- assists, rebounds and steals.

Senior Makayla Jones marked eight points and four rebounds while senior Alexandria Gray recorded four boards and three points.

Junior ShanEttine Butler had six points, two rebounds and two assists.

As a team, Tech was held to 37.5 percent (21-for-56) shooting from the field while the Knights finished at 44.6 percent (29-for-65).

The Gold and Blue are scheduled to hit the court next Tuesday, February 2 when they travel to University of Rio Grande.

WVU Tech will host Ohio Christian University Saturday, February 6 when a limited amount of fans will be allowed to attend. Check this out for all the information regarding fans at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
