CRESTVIEW HILLS, Kentucky -- WVU Tech women's basketball opened its season at No. 2 Thomas More University Monday evening. The Golden Bears fell to the Saints 66-44.
Defense held Thomas More to just 34.7 percent shooting from the field while forcing 11 turnovers.
The Gold and Blue were led on offense by
Whittney Justice and
Chelsea Little who poured in nine points each. W. Justice had four rebounds while Little had two.
Brittney Justice finished with seven points and seven rebounds to go with two assists.
Makayla Jones recorded six points and five rebounds while
Brianna Ball had six rebounds, four points and two blocks.
The team will return to the court Friday when they travel to Rio Grande, Ohio to face Concordia University.
