DANVILLE, Virginia -- WVU Tech wrestling competed with 20 teams at the Averett Cougar Open Sunday, finishing 14th overall.Â
Isaiha Casto led the Gold and Blue, garnering a fifth place showing at 174 lbs. The sophomore was 6-1 during the open, redeeming himself on his only loss by defeating that same opponent, Khalil Mitchell (Averett), later in the day. Casto took down Hunter Thompson (Shenandoah) with a Fall (1:55) in his final bout to earn Tech 16 team points.
The Golden Bears also saw action from:

Tech will return to the mat Saturday, November 20 when they travel to Marietta, Georgia for the Life University Open.
