MIDWAY, Kentucky -- WVU Tech wrestling competed in the River States Conference Duals Saturday, facing host Midway University along with University of Rio Grande and Ohio Valley University. The Golden Bears defeated Ohio Valley 52-3 and fell to Rio Grande 22-33 and Midway 6-51.

Isaiha Casto is now 11-3 in duals at 174 lbs. after picking up three wins during the tri-meet. Casto earned an 11-0 Major Decision over Rio's Kiah Smith and scored a Fall (1:47) over Midway's Jabril Williams.

Jeff Bowles grappled his way to two Falls Saturday, finishing 2-1 overall. At 285 lbs., Bowles took down Rio Grande's Michael Peneski (3:33) and Ohio Valley's Dakota Parsons (0:23).

In the victory over Ohio Valley, Jacob Thomas posted a 9-0 Major Decision over Ernst Lavaud at 197 lbs.

The team will return to action Saturday, December 11 when they travel to Columbia, Kentucky for the NAIA Conference Challenge Duals.
