Whittney Justice hit a three-point buzzer-beater off an assist from fellow classmate
Alexandria Gray as WVU Tech defeated Asbury University 75-72 in a semifinal of the River States Conference (RSC) Championship.
With the win, Tech gets a bid to the NAIA National Championship and will host University of Rio Grande in the final of the RSC Championship Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. for a GOLD RUSH in the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Gray produced a game-best 20 points to go with five rebounds and three assists.
W. Justice and junior
ShanEttine Butler finished with 13 points each. Butler had the game's best six assists while W. Justice had four rebounds and four assists.
Senior
Brittney Justice poured in ten points and had four rebounds.
Fellow senior
Makayla Jones was just short of a double-double with nine points and nine boards to go with two assists.
Sophomore
Brianna Ball finished with eight points and eight rebounds.Â
