The 2020-2021 season proved to be a challenging time in WVU Tech women's basketball history due to a worldwide pandemic but the Golden Bears persevered to win the River States Conference (RSC) Championship and finish its campaign at the NAIA National Championship.
Tech finished the season 12-9 including five straight wins before Friday's loss to Shawnee State University 85-64 in an opening round match-up of the championship.
Sophomore Brianna Ball led the Gold and Blue with 14 points and had five rebounds.
Seniors Brittney and Whittney Justice had 13 points each while B. Justice had eight rebounds, two assists and two steals and W. Justice finished with three rebounds and two assists.
Junior ShanEttine Butler and senior Isabel Barrio finished with seven points each.
Senior Alexandria Gray posted five points, four rebounds and three assists.
