VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia -- WVU Tech women's soccer earned its second win in 2021 with a 1-0 shutout at Regent University Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears are now 2-1 while the Royals move to 0-1.
The goal came from
Ana Gay Mesa in minute 26. The assist was recorded for
Anna Baker.
Jenna Miller made eight stops in 90 minutes, allowing zero goals as she moves to 2-1 this season as a keeper.
Regent's keeper, Marelly Ballentine, was forced to make 15 stops in 90 minutes of play.
The Gold and Blue will return to the pitch Saturday, September 4 when they host Trinity Christian College.
