KINGSPORT, Tennessee -- WVU Tech women's basketball has won five consecutive games after defeating Union College 66-59 in their final game of The Show. The Golden Bears now boast a record of 9-2 while the Bulldogs move to 2-7.
Junior
Faith N. Silva poured in a game-best 26 points including seven made from three-point range. Silva also produced three assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Fellow classmate
Valiyah Yazzie recorded 11 points to go with three boards, two assists and a steal.
Also a junior,
Breeana Grigsby finished with a double-double effort of ten points and ten rebounds while dishing two assists.
Freshman
Alva Hedrich also had ten points to go with three rebounds, two assists and a block.Â
Sophomore
Ca'Vashia Johnson had seven points, five rebounds, one assist and a block.
As a team, Tech finished 35.1 percent (20-for-57) from the floor while Union shot 37.9 percent (25-for-66). The teams were even under the boards with 42 rebounds each.
The Gold and Blue will return to conference play when they travel to University of Rio Grande Saturday, December 3.
