MIDWAY, Kentucky -- WVU Tech women's soccer (0-10, 0-2 RSC) dropped a 7-1 decision at Midway University (3-2-2, 1-0-1 RSC) in a River States Conference (RSC) match-up Thursday evening.
Senior
Jodie Pallant recorded the final goal of the game and Tech's score, unassisted, in minute 77. Pallant finished with two shots on goal (SOG) while freshman
Isabella Covarrubias had one SOG.
Freshman
Sandra Garcia had 11 saves in the complete game while protecting the net for the Gold and Blue. Garcia is currently ranked No. 11 in the nation (NAIA) with a total of 65 stops this season.
Between Midway's two keepers, Caylee Thompson and Yasmeen Shalash, the Eagles finished with two stops in goal.
WVU Tech will return home for a three-game stand beginning with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Saturday, October 1.
