WVU Tech athletics has created Monty GIFs/stickers for Golden Bear fans to use on many social media outlets including TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook as well as through text messages.

The GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format)/Stickers allow fans to share animations or short video clips of their favorite mascot, Monty the Golden Bear. 

The Monty GIFs are hosted on GIPHY.com/WVUTech and Tenor.com/users/wvutechgoldenbears and can be accessed with many different search terms such as “WVU Tech," “Golden Bears,” “Monty the Golden Bear," “WVUIT,” etc.

Platform-specific instructions on GIF-sharing are below. 

On TikTok:

1. In TikTok, from the camera screen, tap the new Library icon on the vertical sidebar.
2. Once on the Library screen, you can use the search bar with WVU Tech key words to find Monty.
3. Once you’ve selected your content, you can clip to the desired length and return to the shoot page to continue capturing content.

On Twitter:
While composing a new tweet, click the GIF icon and enter one or more of the WVU Tech search terms. Select your GIF.
 
On Facebook:
Go to GIPHY.com and enter one or more of the WVU Tech search terms. Select your GIF. Copy the URL for that page and paste it in a new Facebook post. Once the GIF preview is shown in the pending Facebook post, you can delete the URL and the GIF will remain.
 
On Instagram:
Monty stickers are available for stories! Clock on GIF and use WVU Tech search terms. Select your sticker.

On Snapchat:

1. From your Snapchat story, tap the button on the Preview screen.
2. Tap on the GIF button and search using WVU Tech terms.You can search for content we created using GIPHY Sticker Maker, by searching @ in the search bar!
3. From there, you can add and layer as many GIF stickers as you want!

In iMessages

1. Open a text message and select the App store icon just below the text bar
2. Search "GIPHY" and download or open the GIPHY app.
3. You can use the search bar with WVU Tech key words to find Monty.

Toggle between GIFs, Stickers, or Text. Once you've found the content you want to share, just tap to share.

Pro-tip: Stickers can be dropped on top of images and texts. Hold down the Sticker asset, drag it where you'd like it to stick it and release! Use two fingers to resize and reposition the asset before release.  This feature only works on devices running iOS 10 or higher. 

In Text Messages:

1. On the GIPHY mobile app, tap on the GIF that you’d like to share. Get the GIPHY App!
2. Tap on the Text Message button.
3. Your GIF will automatically appear in the Message app on your iPhone or Android.
4. Hit send and watch your GIF autoplay in the text thread!
