SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. -- WVU Tech women's basketball traveled to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College for a River States Conference (RSC) contest Thursday and dropped a 79-64 decision. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 4-12, 1-5 (RSC) while the Pomeroys move to 10-7, 5-2 (RSC).
Sophomore 
Alexis Sexton (Lexington, S.C.) was 4-for-5 from beyond the arc towards a game-best 25 points. Lexton added four assists, three rebounds and a steal.
Fellow sophomore 
Alva Hedrich (Muecke, Hessen, Germany) finished with 17 points including a 7-for-8 effort from the foul line. She also had seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Sophomore 
Nell Marx (Stockholm, Sweden) and senior 
Marquesia Heidt (Townsend, Ga.) poured in six and five points respectively while sophomore 
Avery Lucas (Hamlin, W.Va.) had six rebounds.
The Gold and Blue will continue the conference road trip in Indiana when they face IU Kokomo Saturday at 1 p.m.
