Beckley, W.Va. - The WVU Tech League of Legends team earned a 2-1 victory over St. Lawrence Tuesday night.

Sammy Stover, Fr.), Hilbert (
Patrick Hilbert, Soph.) and ninZ (
Nino Cardenas, Soph.) were facing the Saints for a second time, having played and beaten them in a one-game National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) placement match a few weeks prior.Â
This match however would be a best-of-three regular season match, with St. Lawrence getting some early payback with a win in game one. It looked for a moment like the Saints might get their full revenge in game two, but the Golden Bears clawed out a win in a back and forth, 43-minute affair. WVU Tech would then take game three to win the match, moving to 2-1 on the season.Â
The Golden Bears League of Legends team competes again Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. against familiar River States Conference opponent Midway University (3-0, NECC). The action will be streamed live on Twitch (WVUTechGoldenBears).
