Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for January 15-21, 2024 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomores Alexis Sexton (women's basketball) and Thomas Hailey (men's basketball) highlight the week's honors.
Sexton, who hails from Lexington, S.C., led the Golden Bears over two games with 31 points including six made three's. The sophomore also added seven rebounds, six assists and a steal.
A native of Monroe, N.C., Hailey poured in 32 points over two games while grabbing 14 rebounds. Hailey also recorded six assists and two steals as WVU Tech went 1-1 that week.
