BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech esports continued ECAC Fortnite Zero Builds play over the past two Tuesdays, with the duo of Dr.unrushed (Ryan Hayden) and TheWacki1 (Keith Karwacki) putting together consistent performances.
On Oct. 14, the Golden Bears earned 74 points across three matches. Tech opened with a 12th-place finish (28 pts), followed by a 15th-place finish highlighted by three combined eliminations (28 pts), and closed with a 17th-place showing (18 pts).
The momentum carried into Oct. 21, where WVU Tech recorded 102 points. TheWacki1 picked up a kill in Game One as the team placed ninth for 36 points. Dr.unrushed followed with a kill in Game Two and an 11th-place finish (32 pts). The duo wrapped up the night with another ninth-place finish in Game Three for 34 points.
WVU Tech entered this week 39th overall out of 169 teams in the ECAC Fortnite Zero Build Duos standings with 281 points through the first four weeks of play. This total does not yet include this week's results.
