Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for April 7-13, 2025 were announced Thursday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshman Alvaro Iglesias Pascual (golf) and senior Robert Kelley (baseball) highlight the week's honors.
Iglesias Pascual, who hails from Castellon, Spain, finished second out of 45 golfers during the IUK Spring Shootout after two rounds. The freshman shot a 144 (E) after rounds of 71 (-1) and 73 (+1).
Kelley, a Vienna, Va. native, earned a victory on the bump against No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett after 6.0 innings of work. The senior struck out 10 batters and gave up just one earned run towards a 1.50 ERA.
