Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for August 18-25, 2025 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Sandra Garcia Quilez (women's soccer) and senior Nicholas Ihnat (men's soccer) highlight the week's honors.

Garcia Quilez, who hails from Zaragoza, Spain, made eight stops in 90 minutes towards an .800 save average in the Golden Bears' game against Milligan University.

Ihnat, a Charleston, W.Va. native, recorded Tech's lone goal against No. 20 Milligan. The goal was ultimately the equalizer as the game ended 1-1.
