WVU Tech opened its Rocket League season in strong fashion Wednesday, sweeping Murray State University 3-0 before claiming a 3-0 forfeit win over William & Mary.

The Golden Bears battled through a tight opener, edging Murray State 3-2 behind a hat trick from Jayden Rouse (Jaro). In game two, Tech posted a 2-0 shutout, with Brayden Hanshew (Mune) and Waleed Alghamdi (FARGO) scoring and the squad combining for key stops. The sweep was sealed in game three, a 6-1 series-clincher highlighted by four goals from Jaro and two more from FARGO.

Opponent highlights: Murray State's MarsReflex totaled two goals and eight saves on the night, while clay in ctrl added a goal and an assist.
