WVU Tech opens League of Legends season with 2-0 day

WVU Tech started its League of Legends season strong Thursday, defeating Washtenaw Community College and Louisville by identical 1-0 scores.

Against Washtenaw, the Golden Bears picked up a 39-26 kill advantage in a 36-minute win. Benjamin Lowe (Bean) anchored Tech with a dominant 7 kills, 1 death and 26 assists, while Patrick Hilbert (Hilbert) added 13 kills and 8 assists. Dakota P. Dietz (NinjaRemover) chipped in 4 kills and 19 assists as Tech's balance proved too much.

In game two, a 31-22 victory over Louisville, Hilbert led all players with 16 kills and 9 assists, while Anthony Biley (Almightyfoot) tallied 7 kills in the top lane. Dietz recorded 10 assists, and Lowe continued his strong play with 14 assists. Triston Stover (breathless lol) controlled the support role with 20 assists as Tech closed out the 2-0 day.

Opponent highlights: Washtenaw's Raroarmagedon posted 9 kills and 6 assists, while Louisville's Overrun notched 11 kills in the second game.
